Ceres Glebe

The Ceres Glebe is a cherished community green space in the heart of Ceres, managed and maintained by the Ceres & District Community Trust for the benefit of all local residents and visitors.

The Glebe is our biggest and most ambitious project: 8.5 acres of historic greenspace right in the heart of the village, on a 25-year lease from the Church of Scotland.

In early 2026 we completed the new Glebe Burn bridge, reconnecting the North and South Glebe for the first time since flooding swept the old bridge away in January 2022. It’s a genuine milestone, and just the start. CDCT is actively working on upgrading the Glebe further by adding an accessible all-weather path from the village to the bridge, upgrade boundary fencing and gateways and a permanent noticeboard.

The result: a safe, welcoming space open to everyone — wheelchairs, pushchairs and all — plus room for Highland Games Day parking and the events that bring the village together. Finishing touches to the bridge, including the side panels, dedicated sleepers and an official opening, are still to come. Watch this space.
